Name: Itsuki “Ikki” Minami
Fandom: Air Gear
Canon Point: Right before the last fight.
Age: 17/18.
Species: Human.
Background: Wikipedia and Poorly written Wikia.
Personality:
As a kid, Ikki was always getting into trouble. At the same time, it was very clear that he was an extremely lucky child, who was ‘loved by the wind’. He climbed the top of Tokyo Tower and jumped off, at only 5 years old. He was saved by a giant crow that caught him and brought him back to safety. And that was not even the stupidest thing he’d do in his lifetime.
By elementary school he was already getting into fights with his classmates, deciding to do what he wanted, to live by his own rules. That was always his one goal, to run his own road, to break out of any limits forced upon him. While he may appear crude and juvenile at times, he has won over many friends to his cause simply because of his simple outlook.
He speaks his mind, no matter how stupid he sounds, and loves playing practical jokes on his friends. He taunts his opponents, and generally doesn’t take things too seriously. Only when people depend on him does he get riled up and push his limits. As his team trains to get stronger, Ikki spends most of his time lounging around, preferring to get stronger in the middle of battle than waste time doing boring exercises.
Somehow, he is a true leader, and is always the reliable anchor. When his team is on the verge of losing, Ikki has a plan or scheme that he is able to produce that leads them to victory.
One of Ikki’s passions is wrestling. Probably because his eldest sister Rika had been known to wrestle professionally to pay for the family’s needs. He’s watched thousands of hours of wrestling on TV, which he is known to bring up and reference from time to time.
Ikki’s weakness has always been beautiful women. And yet, the girl that has always loved him, Ringo, as beautiful as she is, he was too nearsighted to be able to see her as a possible romantic partner until it was nearly too late. He saw her as attractive, which was obvious by the amount of times he would sneak into the bath to see Ringo naked, but he didn’t realize he loved her until much later.
His greatest strength is simply an iron will. When faced with impossible odds of being a teenager facing a genetically engineered human weapon who had decades of AT experience over him, Ikki never feared losing, and never backed down. When the odds are against him he perseveres, unable to be held down by anything or anyone. This has the downside of making him an annoying person to deal with sometimes, as he definitely has no modesty, openly referring to himself as the Great Ikki-sama, and expecting people to bow down to him.
AU History:
Ikki was just another orphan wanting to grow up to be a Sky Pirate. He has no real reason to do so, other than loving how it feels to be in the sky. He never knew who his parents were, and spent his life living with a foster family of sorts, until he decided to leave, and live on his own. Eventually, after beating his way through the other kids on the street, Ikki became their leader, taking the best safe spots to sleep in for himself.
When he wasn’t fighting and stealing, he would sneak aboard air ships and find his way outside to the hull, even though it was extremely dangerous. It was during one of these stunts that the ship he was on was attacked by rival pirates, planning on bringing the former in to the authorities for the reward. Ikki had planned on sitting on the sidelines, only to be targeted first as he was outside the ship. Luckily, as he had grown up on the streets getting into fist fights since he was a kid, Ikki was able to beat down the assaulting pirates, protecting himself and the crew he stowed away on.
With his worth proven to the crew, Ikki was finally able to join them, becoming the cabin boy of the the ship. And so Ikki left his street urchin life behind, moving on up in life. With his new crew Ikki always leads the charge, taking down strong opponents with a mixture of clever ingenuity and fierce hand to hand skills. As such, Ikki has gotten quite a reputation as a feared pirate.
Alliance: Neutral. Ikki only cares about himself and his friends.
Licenses: Libra and Black Magic 1.

It is I, the Great Ikki-sama!
...And I’ve got no clue why the hell I’m here, but it better be for a good reason. If this is another stupid virtual reality game then I’m gonna kick who’s ever ass it is that brought me here. ...After I finish it and get the high score.
Although, it actually doesn’t feel much like a game at all. It’s nothing like that time at Falco’s. If this is real, then I’ll just have to find the wizard that brought me here and kick his ass!
This is all really strange, it’s starting to feel like a manga. And not even one of the good ones about fighting and pirates.
Third Person Sample:
That day was going to be the day Ikki flew. He had been planning it for weeks, watching the men at the docks, trying to to figure out how he would get aboard. He watched when the lookouts changed shifts and found the best way to sneak in, knowing every route and time by heart. He had decided on this pirate ship, because he knew it was the fastest one that always came back to Balfonheim on short trips. And so, when the day came when Ikki was ready, he snuck aboard.
It really wasn’t that difficult, Ikki had the knack of planning, able to the gaps he needed to get through. So, as the ship’s engines kicked on, Ikki had dashed from behind a bunch of crates, catching the wing as it began to lift off the ground.
“You’re....not...leaving...without me!” Ikki’s hands began to slip for a moment, which would have brought his dream of flying to an end if he fell from that height. However, he managed to get a better grip and pull himself up to the top of the wing, scurrying on all fours toward the center of the ship as it gained altitude.
Ikki stuck his head out from behind the shielding, catching a giant blast of air in the face. While most humans would be scared to death of flying in the sky hundreds of feet above the ground at incredible speeds, Ikki’s face couldn’t break out of a stupid grin. He was so excited to be in the sky, feeling what it must feel like to fly. He didn’t know why, but he had a memory stuck in his mind for as long as he could remember, of flying in the sky. So he had spent nearly his entire life trying to recreate that memory. Which was what brought him to the outside of a pirate’s airship, holding on for dear life, letting the wind rip past him.
He could barely even open his eyes, but that didn’t matter. He could let go and go flying off the ship to his death, but that didn’t matter. All that mattered was the feeling in his heart that he had finally recreated. He was flying.
